- American Tail, An Re-issue of the by-now classic animated adventures of Fievel the mouse and his family and their journey from the pogroms of Russia to the safety of the New World. - Amistad Historical drama set in 1839, about a revolt on a Spanish slave ship by 53 Africans. - Anastasia Fox's foray into animated feature films was a moderate success, considering it went up against Disney's rerelease of "The Little Mermaid."
